Singles Ministry

We believe the main purpose of this ministry is to promote singleness to the whole man (spirit, soul and body). We are not rejected, incomplete or left out; rather we are complete in Christ, according to Colossians 2:10. We are to be helpers of one another, by learning how we are each separate, unique and whole; we believe we can accommodate the needs of each other through the love of God. By imparting Christo-centric teachings (Matthew 6:33), we will establish, the first and most important relationship in one’s life, their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that if they don’t understand or develop this relationship, they will never truly be able to develop any other meaningful relationships. Our goal is to minister to those who are single by choice, separated, widowed or divorced, encouraging wholeness in love. We believe in having all things done decently and in an orderly fashion (1 Corinthians14:40).

We will teach, train and equip the Singles’ according to how the Spirit of God directs. This will not be a gossip session, nor a dating service, but rather a support channel through how we can learn, grow and mature in Christ; as long as we put Christ first. This will not be a separate group; it will only enhance what we already have in Fairbanks Christian Center. We believe that God wants us to teach each other how to be more productive and whole single adults; by building up one another in these open forum type meetings, where everyone will have the liberty to voice one’s concerns as long as it edifies, exhorts and comforts one another. We are to become real intimate, close knit group of armor-bearers for this body, so that one day we will be able to incorporate the same teachings in other bodies as God opens the doors. Servant hood will be stressed as part of the Singles’ curriculum. God first makes servants, and then He promotes them to Leadership!
